I slept late this morning after not sleeping much the first part of the night. We had a good rain here during the night. I don't remember hearing thunder or seeing lightening but I do remember the rain was hard at times. That wasn't what kept me up. I don't know what it was really. Just couldn't sleep. Don isn't taking his ambien because he does things then he doesn't remember doing them the next day so he didn't sleep well either. After breakfast we got ready and headed to Little Rock. We are about an hour away from there. They have a river market district. It was pretty neat but not much bigger than a city block. Most of it was food vendors set up in permanent sites. But it was neat. They had lots of jewelry folks and then a farmer's market too. We ate lunch there. I had BBQ ribs and Don had BBQ chicken. Not quite as good as his (Don's) but it was good. After the market we drove around town and saw the Peabody hotel. If I am not mistaken this is the hotel that had the duck parade everyday at a specific time. Anyway we then made our way over to the Maritime museum but it was closed on Tuesdays. I wanted to go back tomorrow because they have a submarine there that Don would like to tour. But I think we are going to go to Hot Springs tomorrow. We really like it here. The evening temperature is very nice and the lake is a great view. I think we have decided to stay here a few days longer that what we had originally planned. After the Little Rock tour we set out to find a Wal-Mart for Arkansas souvenirs. We didn't find any in town that we liked and many Wal-Marts have such areas. I knew there had to be a Wal-Mart in Little Rock because there is a country song about selling VCRs at a Wal-Mart in Arkansas and he lives in Little Rock. Well evidently he drove a good ways to that Wal-Mart because we never found one in town. We did find one about 15 miles out of town. They only had Razorback items so I didn't find my Arkansas souvenirs. But maybe tomorrow in Hot Springs. So we spent a good amount of time at the Wal-Mart (as usual). On that note I don't know why I have a problem with staying there from time to time. It seems we spend an awful lot of time there anyway. Maybe we should just park there and set out from the Wal-Mart for our site seeing and then when we come home - there we are at Wal-Mart to get everything we need. Anyway we got home about 5:30 and just set around watching TV. I worked on our state books (where we have stayed and what we have done by state) and crocheted. We finally ate supper about 7:30. We are outside now and it is very pleasant. It reminds me of the beach. Today's picture is the market district in Little Rock.
